Sporting and Cultural Donations for Individuals and Teams

Submissions closed at 6:00PM 19 September 2017 (AEST).

Council may provide donations to individuals or teams who reside in The Hills Local Government Area who have been selected to compete in cultural events or sporting competitions.

  • $150.00 for an individual or $350.00 for a team selected to compete outside the Sydney Metropolitan Area
  • $200.00 for an individual or $500.00 for a team selected to compete interstate
  • $300.00 for an individual or $750.00 for a team selected to compete internationally.

Funds must be used for the purpose indicated in the application and a signed letter from the sponsoring organisation stating you have been selected through a competitive process, must be attached.

All applications must be made prior to the conduct of the event/or competition with supporting documentation attached from the organising body.

Where three or more applications are received from individuals in the one team, they will be treated as a team application.

Where an application is being completed for a team, the person submitting the application must notify the relevant team members, or their guardians where they are minors, prior to submitting the application.  

Successful applicants or teams must submit a report to Council on their participation on return from the competition or event.

Applicants are only eligible for one donation in any twelve month period, regardless of whether they apply as a team or as an individual.
